Introducing FlowPilot: AI-Powered Tools for Flow Production Tracking
AI got surprisingly good this year. Good enough to tackle the pipeline busywork that's been draining VFX studios since Flow Production Tracking was called Shotgun.

FlowPilot condenses what used to take a small team of developers weeks into a single prompt.
Sound Familiar?
Show kicks off. Production asks for status automations. A dev disappears for weeks to set up the Shotgun Event Daemon and write Python scripts.
Show wraps. Rinse, repeat.
That cycle ends here.
How It Works
FlowPilot connects to your Flow Production Tracking instance and lets you talk to it. Not through Python scripts or YAML configs. Plain English.
- Dashboards: Want a chart showing shot progress by sequence? Ask for it.
- Automations: Need tasks set to "final" when a version gets approved? Type that sentence.
- Live Data Exports: Want production data piped into Google Sheets? Done.
No event daemon. No webhook server. No infrastructure to babysit.
Why Now
AI got good enough. A year ago, this wasn't possible. The models couldn't reliably translate natural language into structured queries. Now they can.
Here's what we didn't do: give AI access to your production data. AI sees your schema only (field names, entity types, relationships). It generates queries. Your data stays between your Flow PT server and your browser. The model never touches it. Here's how it works.
What this means for you: producers build dashboards by describing them. TDs stop fielding one-off requests. Coordinators stop copying data into spreadsheets. Everyone focuses on work that actually needs a human.
What Studios Are Saying
"Automation is now straightforward. No need to rely on TD for every change. You're in control: you decide what you want to achieve, with the freedom to experiment and iterate until you find the perfect fit. And it frees up your technical teams to focus on building new features for your pipeline." Marc Dubrois, Head of Pipeline Film, SUPERPROD STUDIO
"Live Data Export hit me hard. For some tools we run in Google Sheets, we end up writing an Apps Script that calls a cloud server that runs Python to get data from FPT and send it to the Sheet. All that setup, gone. The world is changing fast, and we either evolve with it or risk becoming irrelevant." Armando Ricalde, CTO, Boxel Studio
Try It
FlowPilot launched January 26, 2026. We're in public beta.
The free tier includes 1 dashboard with up to 10 charts, 1 live data export, and 1,000 automation events per month. Paid plans start at $49/month for Data Insights and $199/month for Automations (or $41/$166 billed yearly).
Connect your FPT instance and see what happens when you can just describe what you need. Want a walkthrough? Reach out at support@flowpilot.studio.
